Why I Hate Life Right Now

I love my life but right now I hate my romantic life and always have. I always make the worst decisions and it fucking sucks cause sometimes those decisions can harm my relationships with my friends and family. Well recently I discovered that my best friend that I have now known for three years had had a crush on me when I was going out with my ex ex and I realized that I was thoroughly upset because I really like her but she doesn't like me anymore like that and also she has turned her like for me into a platonic one which makes me sad because my platonic like has now turned into a romantic like. So now I am sitting here like what the fuck because I really really like her and she's awesome and everything amazing and even with the flaws she has don't overwhelm or override the many great things that she is and I'm just really sad because I feel like I'll never have someone that will live up to her standards. She's the best and I missed my chance. I feel like I am always going to now find second-best until I get over these feelings for someone that doesn't like me but actually loves another person that they can't even have and though she doesn't like me to think of her thinking of me as second-best but I still feel that way because I feel like I'm being compared to someone that she loves. And I'm just a friend she likes.
She still cares for me and that's great but I just wish I could be more to her. I wish I wasn't so blind and developed feelings for her instead of stupid boys that didn't give two fucks about how I felt. She and I work great together. We flirt in a friendly way and that gives some satisfaction but it just hurts. It hurts so damn much. I don't know if I want to end up with a guy or a girl but all I know is that I'm head over heels for the sweetest girl alive and I wish I could be the one to show her how much she means.
